Introducing the NEW AG Gazette!
Arbor Gallery has been on a self-improvement kick, starting with a bright and shiny new website. And you know how improvements go. First it’s one thing then another. We wanted a vehicle to easily share news and articles about art. It’s a new year and time to start a new tradition – hence, a blog.
Although, blog isn’t a, shall we say, pretty word. True, it’s functional. But we prefer the term Gazette. It has that certain je ne sais quoi. In addition, we are fans of word art; therefore, a little bit of alliteration suits us. Gallery…Gazette. Furthermore, Gazette reflects a bit more of what our blog is; a newsy, informative, artist and community driven newsletter. This is the first post in the Gazette, so we’d like to introduce ourselves and tell you our hope and dreams. For the Gazette, that is.

Who we are
Arbor Gallery Fine Art is an art gallery cooperative. We are home to about 20 talented artists. Each of us creates our own special kind of artistic magic.
From the fluid strokes of watercolor to the rich textures of oil, the versatility of acrylics and the unpredictable beauty of alcohol ink, our painters create a kaleidoscope of colors and textures. From the intricate weavings of fibers, the graceful turnings of wood, the sculptural silkiness of ceramics, and the delicate details of hand-crafted jewelry, our artists create visually stunning pieces to wear and display. Likewise, our photographers’ compelling imagery and mastery of photographic art contributes to the diverse palette (<–see what I did there!?) and limitless expression of our artists.
In other words, we are a group of artists working in a variety of mediums and we have something to share!

As a nonprofit art gallery, our purpose goes beyond showcasing unique art. Our purpose is about enriching lives, fostering creativity and giving back in meaningful ways. In particular, we believe that the power and beauty of art are catalysts for education, inspiration, and community growth.
That’s what the AG Gazette is all about…weekly articles about art, education, art events in our community and hopefully, some inspiration along the way.
