Watercolor Artist

I have painted in watercolor for over 55 years. To say it is a best friend is an understatement. It has given me some of the best times in my life and has lifted me in the hard times. I was fortunate to start painting at the same time as about 15 other artists in my area. We traveled together, learned together, helped each other grow and they also founded Arbor Gallery.  All are gone now so just me to carry on. I am very grateful to still be able to paint and no time is better spent than painting on location. Our foothills and farm areas have always been my favorite source for subject matter and that remains true today. Recently I have discovered the wildlife refuge and it has become a great place for me to paint plein air. They say that watercolor is the most difficult medium and I believe that is true. It is also one of the reasons that it has kept me challenged and interested all these years.
