Jackie Anderson
Painter
Jackie Anderson works in oil, acrylic, alcohol ink, pastel and watercolor and she specializes in landscapes, portraits and abstract paintings.
Jackie is a local artist and historian for her hometown of El Nido, California. While attending portrait/oil classes through the college, she started her adventure on becoming a multi-faceted artist. The instructors at the college that most influenced her were Earl Rogers, Judy Lynd and dear Kate Jackson who introduced Jackie to inks, pouring and abstract art.
Jackie paints mostly in oil, acrylic and alcohol ink, from abstract to realism and has developed her own style. Painting realistically with oil or acrylic is satisfying, but paining in alcohol ink has been a delightful and fun adventure. Plein air painting is another facet of learning that Jackie has embraced with the help of a wonderful friend and instructor from Arizona, Gretchen Lopez.
Jackie has been a member of Arbor Gallery for 13 years and continues to grow as an artist.
